Kim Jong-eun announced that the DPRK is close to developing nuclear weapons and will launch their ICBM whenever he wants. He added, "The US is wholly to blame for pushing the DPRK to have developed an ICBM as it has desperately resorted to anachronistic policy hostile toward the DPRK for decades to encroach upon its sovereignty and vital rights." As a result of this and other threats, such as the recent North Korean drill to attack the Blue House, the completion of the last resort plan of assassinating Kim Jong-eun has become a higher priority for South Korea. While they originally were going to establish their elite military unit, known as the "decapitation unit" or the "commando unit", in 2019, they are now planning to finish its creation by the end of this year. It will consist of 2000 soldiers who will not only prepare to attack Kim Jong-eun but all top North Korean officials.
