Why freedom of religion benefits everyone

            Freedom of religion benefits everyone. We can believe what we want. We can honor our morals. And because of these morals the world will be more peaceful.

            Because of freedom of religion we all get to pursue what we believe in. If we want to believe that candy is healthy for you, we can. We get to believe and act on what our heart is telling us to. Think about being forced to believe in a religion that you don’t believe in at all and you think it’s silly. Well someone who was forced to not believe in a religion would have quite the same or more frustration and guilt. It’s like being forced to believe you’re a bad person and even if you don’t really believe it, you have to pretend to and tell everyone that you are.

            Because freedom of religion allows us to pursue our beliefs we’re also allowed to honor the morals in our beliefs. No one should be forced to do something against their morals.

            Morals are what control people. Think about religion. Most religions have good morals. They believe in serving others not causing harm to others, and choosing the right. This is what creates peace in today’s society. Without freedom of religion our world would be chaotic.
