The Role of Education
Education is a vital part of any society. Seeing this, it is reasonable, and necessary for society(government) to teach the future generations. I think the main reason for doing so, is the opportunity that it provides for kids. From there they may choose to pursue education further or start applying what they learned in the workforce immediately. When education provides opportunity then it fulfills its purpose.
Compulsory public education limits the freedom of people greatly. This happens on two ends. On one the child who must be educated is not allowed to make the choice for himself, and on the other adults who may not even have children must fund the education. This directly violates the "law" of force. Which states that using force against another person is wrong unless the force you are using is for self-defense. The force that government uses in this situation is not for self-defense it is for the good of society. Educated people will be able to progress a country more, and allow for the existence of the country to last.
One conclusion that we can draw is that public education sacrifices having true freedom for a watered down version, but it will keep a nation alive longer.
Is this trade-off worth it?

I think you’re right about how people being forced to become educated and forced to pay for others to become educated may be limiting your freedom but in a different sense I think it also gives us freedom because if you and the people around you are educated then your country’s more likely to be smart and know how to stay out of a tyrannical situation and therefore I think it also gives freedom.
