Texas is poised to pass a bill that will allow agencies to deny adoption on grounds of religion. As much as I don't like it, it is still legal for them to do this, as long as it isn't a government agency that is denying the rights to adopt. It has to be the people. If I owned a store I could deny , say, Israelis from buying things from my store. It isn't good, but it's my right. The same thing happened Vietnam Vets came home. The people wouldn't even talk to them most of the time. Now, if the government had said that people couldn't talk to the Vets, that would be different. Very different. New level different. That is not their right.
